Current Definition Shared Context
Cooperative problem solving systems, such as DODEs, must react appropriately to the user's actions. To do so, they need a representation of the context of interaction. When this representation is available to the user, then there can be a shared context between the system and user. In DODEs, the shared context is established by (1) domain-orientation, (2) the (partial) construction and (3) the (partial) specification. Also in DODEs, critiquing mechanisms use the shared context to determine what information is relevant to the task at hand.
